Arcanist: field notes
Elemental spells and area damage.

The vocation in a hunt
Use the spell loadout deliberately. Area damage and single-target pressure have different value against a crowd and an isolated durable opponent.
Equipment and resources
Keep mana supply visible. A build that spends heavily must support that spending through equipment, recovery or purchased potions.
A useful first comparison
Start with a familiar hunting area and change one part of the build at a time. Review kills, resource use and survival. The skill tree and class-compatible equipment offer decisions, but a larger number alone does not establish a stronger overall routine.
Three different kinds of pressure
The Arcanist uses nearby frost control, delayed meteor damage and lightning that moves between enemies. Those attacks are not interchangeable: the meteor needs time to land, and a chain benefits from multiple targets. Arcane movement provides a short emergency reposition, but the basic spell set does not include a class heal.
Control has limits
Bosses resist control more than ordinary enemies. A rotation that comfortably holds a small group may therefore behave differently against one durable guardian. Keep mana recovery and an escape route in view, and use ordinary health supplies when the vocation’s own tools cannot restore health.
