The account and its data.
An account uses a display name, email, password and first character name. This notice describes the current data flows and the information still being finalized before a commercial launch.
Authentication
Supabase Auth processes the email and password to create and authenticate an account. Passwords are stored as hashes. Transactional email is delivered through Resend with the sender name Wake of Ages. Confirmation and recovery messages are necessary for account access; they are not a newsletter subscription.
Age declaration and rules
The registration form is for people aged 18 or over. It collects an explicit adult declaration and acknowledgement of the current rules and privacy notice, with a policy version and server timestamp. No date of birth or identity document is requested. The declaration does not verify age, and a missing historical declaration is not automatically treated as consent.
On this device
This site keeps the signed-in session in browser storage so you stay signed in between visits. The game additionally stores settings, language preference and a local copy of character saves. Opening this site never claims a character or overwrites a save.
Cloud and rankings
Profiles, character saves, device handoff state and progression are stored in the game's Supabase project to continue play across devices. Access is restricted to the owning account and authorized service operations. Eligible normal characters appear automatically from their first cloud save. A non-blocking notice explains the ranking, and Rankings lets you hide or show all characters on your account. Existing opt-out choices are preserved. Public entries contain the character name, vocation, appearance and selected progression. GM and administrator accounts are excluded. It does not publish an email, account identifier or password. Ranking participation can be enabled and disabled inside the game.
World chat (next release)
The upcoming World channel publishes character name, vocation, level, message and time to signed-in players. A random author identifier supports account-wide muting; the account ID and email are not shared with other players. The visible history is limited to 24 hours and the last 100 messages. An hourly cleanup removes expired messages and their reports, so physical deletion can take up to one additional hour. Mute preferences, posting-limit records and moderation restrictions are stored separately. Authorized moderators can review reports, remove messages and restrict posting. The chat notice appears before a first message; do not post personal or payment information.
Hosting
Vercel hosts the site and game. Supabase provides authentication, the database and service functions; the current database is in the United States. Resend delivers account emails. These providers process technical request and delivery information as needed to operate their services. Depending on the player's location, this can involve processing outside their country.
Security and operational records
The service keeps account-related records needed for save coordination, request limits, store transactions and administrative grants. These help prevent conflicting saves, enforce permissions and investigate errors. This release does not add advertising pixels, a marketing analytics service or cross-site advertising cookies.
Purchases
Ruby packs and Premium subscriptions use Stripe checkout. The game stores the account-linked purchase, processor references, subscription state and entitlement receipts; card details are entered at Stripe checkout. Test balances and administrative gifts are also associated with the account. Prices, renewals and refund conditions are described on the payment information page.
Account help
Password recovery and session controls are available on the account page. Applicable privacy law may provide rights to access, correct or delete data and other rights. Self-service data export and deletion are not yet implemented. Wake of Ages is operated by Henrique Rodrigues, an independent developer; privacy requests go to support@wakeofages.com and are handled by a person. Applicable legal bases, defined retention periods and a self-service request process still need to be finalized and published. This page does not claim those obligations are complete.
Changes to this notice
Material changes will be described in an updated notice and the journal. A newsletter or optional tracking would require a separate choice; acknowledging this notice is not consent to marketing.
