Recycle or sell: two uses for unwanted gear
Gold and crafting materials serve different needs.

Selling supports the next hunt
Gold pays for ordinary supplies and services. Selling unwanted equipment can be useful when potion purchases are limiting a hunt. An empty supply budget is a practical problem even when the backpack contains many items.
Recycling supports equipment work
Recycling returns materials and a smaller gold amount than a sale. It also clears space. Use batch controls for selected items or rarity groups, and reserve automatic recycling for categories that no longer require individual inspection.
Check before confirming
Rarity is a sorting aid, not a complete evaluation. A class-compatible item or useful attribute combination may be worth keeping. Review the selection and expected return before committing a batch.
The gold difference is explicit
Recycling returns 25% of an item’s sale value in gold, alongside its material reward. Selling uses the full merchant value. For a character whose immediate problem is buying the next supply of potions, that difference can matter more than another crafting material. For a long hunt with sufficient gold, clearing space through recycling can be the useful choice.
Location and selection
Selling belongs to the merchant interaction with Orin. Recycling can be managed through the backpack. Batch selection can cover the eligible items in the current bag rather than stopping at the original 80-slot capacity. If an item changes or leaves the bag while a review is open, the selection must be checked again; the review is tied to those actual pieces.
