Longer fights, your own face, and something to spend gold on
Creatures take longer to kill without slowing your progress, every character gets free skin, hair and cloak colours plus titles, and ten town merchants sell equipment, gems and materials for gold.
Version 0.51.0 changes how a fight feels. A creature of your level now takes eight to twelve seconds to bring down, an elite around twenty, a field guardian a minute or more. Experience and gold per kill grew by the same factor, so an hour of hunting, online or away, yields what it did before: a 600-second measurement after the change landed within 2% on both.
Appearance
Open Character → Appearance. Four skin tones, six hair colours and eight cloak accents, free, changeable any time, saved with the character and drawn everywhere the character appears: the world, the portrait, the return screen, the character picker and the ranking. Eight titles unlock from things you do: leaving the house, the first contract, the Thorn King, the Faceless Bellringer, the Salt Flats, the Crown of Winter, the Threshold, and the three signs of the road.
Merchants
Every town has a merchant with a stock that changes at midnight UTC, the same for every player that day: equipment for the region's levels, gems, materials, and one epic piece per town per week. Prices are set so an active hunter can afford one or two pieces per hour. Rare and epic drops in the open world fell by a quarter; guardians and the Rift are untouched. Gold finally has a job.
Also in this version
- Two devices, one journey: when the cloud has a newer save and this device has less than ten minutes of unsaved play, the newer save loads by itself with a one-line notice. The dialog only appears when there is real work at stake.
- The first minute: the road east of the house only holds level 1–2 creatures near home, and the choice to stay a Survivor is a fixed button in Ena's dialog.
- Death is saved the moment it happens; closing the tab no longer skips it. Coming back among monsters with Auto off puts the character in a safe spot.
- Store: cards, tabs and the purchase confirmation fixed on desktop and phones; the paid expedition left the store now that free offline progress runs for three days.
- Help and labels: movement speed is called movement speed again, potion keys match the HUD, no keyboard hints on phones.
