Finish the fight

Automatic hunters keep their chosen target through pursuit, and parties keep a steadier shared focus.

Automatic hunts no longer abandon an equally suitable living target just because another creature gets closer or a pursuit lasts more than two seconds. Hunters keep working on their chosen opponent instead of spreading damage across several unfinished fights.

Crowded areas also retain the current opponent and the party's shared target during selection. All three members can keep assisting the same fight as new creatures enter the area.

Defensive priorities still apply: an immediate attacker or a higher-priority threat can interrupt the fight. Defeated, invalid or unreachable targets are released through the existing eligibility and route-recovery rules. Recovery, excluded bosses and your chosen hunting area keep their safeguards.

The doubled combat XP introduced in 0.82.14 remains active for solo and eligible party members, including away hunts. This update changes target selection without resetting characters, quests or equipment.
