The lights we carry
Choose how to cross the Salt cavern, rescue its last mechanic and work toward a specific accessory with each victory.
The Salt Below now offers two routes before entry. Keep the water to follow the outer galleries and face the Keeper's brine lanes, or drain the channels to open a central shortcut, awaken machinery guards and face staggered piston strikes. The selected route belongs to the whole party and is preserved when repeating the hunt.
After The boat that never came, begin The lights we carry in the Salt cavern's Atlas page. Win on both routes, in either order, then inspect the lighthouse receiver to rescue Iria and collect Lamplighter's Ring. The restored light remains visible afterward. Repeating one route does not replace the other victory.
Every Salt cavern victory now earns a guardian mark, including Explorer difficulty. At a safe location, choose Elian's Keepsake or Lamplighter's Ring for six marks and 250 essence, or The Last Watch for eight marks and 400 essence. Marks belong to their difficulty, equipment levels remain fixed to that hunt, and affixes are rolled when forged. Existing random drops remain available at their previous rates.
Route selection, chapter progress and the three accessory goals share the existing Atlas page. Automatic parties use the real corridors and combat on either route. Returning to the same open tab can settle the preserved encounter; closing or reloading still ends the instance while keeping collected progress.
